Biography

Benjamin Rabici is a dedicated Finance and Administration Officer with over seven years of progressive experience in financial management, budgeting, and administrative functions. Currently serving at the Pacific Islands Climate Action Network (PICAN), Benjamin is instrumental in managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with grant requirements, and supporting the development and reporting of grant proposals. His expertise lies in overseeing day-to-day financial operations, implementing cost-saving strategies, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.

Throughout his career, Benjamin has demonstrated strong analytical and communication skills, delivering accurate financial insights and fostering a positive work environment. He has worked closely with civil society organisations (CSOs) and managing donor-funded projects, which has significantly contributed to PICAN’s mission of advancing climate action in the Pacific Islands.

Benjamin's responsibilities at PICAN include analysing and presenting financial reports, coordinating the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors, and leading the budgeting and planning processes. He ensures that financial data and cash flow are steady to support operational requirements, updating and implementing business policies and accounting practices to improve PICAN’s overall policy and procedure manual.

Benjamin is passionate about supporting CSOs and enhancing their capacity to engage with climate justice initiatives. His commitment to advancing the organisation's mission is reflected in his meticulous approach to financial management and his dedication to fostering collaboration among PICAN members and partners.

The Pacific Islands Climate Action Network (PICAN) is a regional network of civil society organizations working on climate change issues in the Pacific Islands region.  

With four established national nodes and more than 190 member organisations throughout the region,  PICAN works to empower  Pacific Island communities and their leaders to be active players in the global climate change arena.
