PICAN'S POSITION ON SCIENCE
1.5°C is our survival threshold

For the Pacific, every fraction of a degree matters. The best available science must guide global climate decisions, and 1.5°C must remain the benchmark for ambition and accountability. We reject any attempt to normalise overshoot, delay deep emissions cuts or treat speculative future removals as a substitute for action now.
