About the Event

In the past few decades, Pacific Island leaders and civil society have championed the issue of climate-forced displacement and human rights in regional and global discussions, putting forth advocacy asks to avoid, advance, resource and guide decision-making on these issues. This discussion will focus on reviewing policy priorities that already exists, identify critical gaps in human rights protection for people who are forcibly displaced by climate change induced events, and develop a working policy document that Pacific civil society can continue to build on in the future.

This meeting will prioritize Pacific Islanders and Pacific Island-based civil society representatives. If you are not a Pacific Islander and/or are not based in the Pacific Island region, please do not RSVP.
