About the Event

The 2023 SDG Summit will be convened in September 2023, during the United Nations General Assembly high-level week, marking the mid-point of implementing the 17 SGDs of the 2030 Agenda agreed in 2015. Heads of State and Government will gather at the United Nations Headquarters in New York to follow-up and review the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) .

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is the leading global environmental authority that sets the global environmental agenda, promotes the coherent implementation of the environmental dimension of sustainable development within the United Nations system, and serves as an authoritative advocate for the global environment.
